The brief was to create a functional office space inclusive of a built component whilst not mechanically fixing or affecting the base building fabric. Working proactively with structural engineers to create ‘floating structures’, including clamp-fixing of large glazing and doors to secondary structures to comply with heritage requirements. Service reticulation was designed and built to be accommodated within built elements including joinery, storage units and workstations and also through the raised steel access floor.
